Fable is a young adult, fantasy fiction, pirates, and adventure book by Adrienne Young. This is the first of a duology. This series is about pirates. The book tells the story of a girl named Fable. Fable is a young girl; her only ambition is to reach her father. Her father had left her in an island named Jeval. The pirate’s adventure is about whether and how she will reach him. The story ends at a cliffhanger, which makes us curious for the next part. Also, there are some revelations too in it. I’ve listened to the audiobook version of the book, and the performance is decent. You can also try it as an audiobook, it is less than 9 hours in length.
Fable is a young girl; for the last three years, she is stuck on an island, Jeval. Her father had abounded her after her mother’s death. Now, her only ambition is to reach her father. A young trader named West is helping her in the journey. She left for Jeval with West’s crew in their ship named Marigold. Jeval was a famous island filled with thieves; to survive here Fable has to trust no one and owe nothing to anyone. The Marigold crew was suspicious to Fable; the ship has many secrets kept in it. Also, Fable has very little money (which is called copper here) and she has to make some before reaching her destiny. The sea was like home for Fable, she had lived in the sea in her whole life because she was the daughter of one of the most powerful pirates. There are some twists and turns in the plot of the book. After meeting her father Fable thought that it was better if she never came here. The Marigold crew’s secrets are also to be unveiled by then. Fable was in a situation that she can’t even imagine.
The description of the pirates’ adventure and the whole book was written brilliantly. The romance in this book failed to catch our attention. The plot becomes a bit bland sometimes. Although it has some problems still you can read and enjoy it. The book has a cliffhanger in the end, which make us curious for its next part. This book is a thrilling start to a new series. The story is well written and the writing is brilliant. Also, there are some astonishing revelations too.
I’ll rate this book B. This book belongs to a reader who is above 14. If you want to read a fantasy and pirates’ adventure, then this is the book you’re looking for.
